Stuart McEnerney has been a member of Whiskey University since February 2021. In 2016 Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Stuart earned his Bourbon Diploma from Whiskey University on April 13th,2021.

Lt. Colonel McEnerney is a Social Studies teacher in Connecticut. Stuart was born in April 1967 in New Haven, Connecticut. He now lives in Meriden, Connecticut. Stuart is married to Nicole Charpentier McEnerney.  They have three children. Stuart was one of the first of forty students to earn his Associate Degree after passing 16 classes on May 20th, 2021 earning the title of a Certified Bourbon Taster.

Prior to working in the field of education, Stuart worked in the food service industry for over 20 years. This is where his introduction to whiskey began. It was a good friend of his who first introduced him to Irish Whisky, which then was passed on to his wife Nicole. Nicole became the driving force behind this new hobby they embarked on together, visiting craft distilleries in the New England states and learning about the process and history of making whiskey.

On October 13th, 2021 Stuart earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree with 30 classes, at Whiskey University and the title of "Master Bourbon Taster" and the rank of Captain in the Bourbon Brigade.

On June 5th, 2022 Stuart earned his Master of Arts Degree after passing 48 classes and the title “Senior Chartered Master Bourbon Taster” as well as the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Bourbon Brigade. 

On July 11,2022 Stuart became a Whiskey University Partner and Member of the Board of Directors. Stuart is also the Connecticut State Leader for Whiskey University.

Nicole McEnerney has been a member of Whiskey University since late 2020. In 2016 Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Nicole earned her Bourbon Diploma from Whiskey University on April 13th, 2021.

Lt. Col. McEnerney is a geriatric psychiatric social worker. Nicole was born in December 1971 in Meriden, Connecticut where she currently resides with her husband Stuart. Together they have three children. Nicole was one of the first of forty students to earn her Associate Degree after passing 16 classes and the title “Certified Bourbon Taster” on May 20th, 2021.

It was a good friend of her husband Stuart who first introduced her to Irish Whiskey. From there Nicole became passionate about visiting craft distilleries in the New England states and learning about the process and history of making whiskey.

On October 13th, 2021 Nicole earned her Bachelors of Arts Degree with 30 classes, at Whiskey University and the title of "Master Bourbon Taster" and the rank of Lieutenant First Class in the Bourbon Brigade.

On February 15,2022 Nicole earned her Masters of Science Degree after passing 40 classes and the title of “Chartered Master Bourbon Taster” and the rank of Major in the Bourbon Brigade. On June 5th, 2022 Nicole earned her Master of Arts Degree after passing 48 classes and the title “Senior Chartered Master Bourbon Taster” as well as the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Bourbon Brigade. 

On July 11th, 2022 Nicole became a Whiskey University Partner and Member of the Board of Directors.
